    Town officials are assessing damage from Idalia, but it appears we have experienced little damage from the storm impacts. We ask that people avoid the following areas of Palmetto Boulevard as clean-up work is in progress: the area around the Pavilion for sand and debris clean-up; and 100-600 blocks for debris clean-up. DOT and Colleton County crews.....
  • Power Outage Status

    Dominion Energy is aware of and is actively working a downed power line that feeds Edisto Beach to hopefully restore power soon. This is anticipated to be a multi-hour-long outage.

    Hurricane Idalia has made landfall in Florida as a Category 3. Please be aware Edisto Beach is under a Hurricane Warning and a Storm Surge Warning. The models indicate Idalia will pass over our area, with the storm’s intensity expected between Wednesday at 6 p.m. to Thursday at 3 a.m. Anticipate high winds, flooding, storm surge, downed trees.....

    As of earlier this morning, Hurricane Idalia is approximately 685 miles southwest of Beaufort, SC. A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Edisto Beach, as well as a Storm Surge Watch.     As of the update we received earlier this afternoon, Tropical Storm Idalia is located approximately 900 miles south-southwest of coastal South Carolina, and predictions are we will be impacted by heavy rain, tropical storm force winds, and the possibility of tornados. The rainfall expected is 4-8 inches in our area, with the highest risk for flash.....
