Dominion Energy is currently working on powerlines on Palmetto Boulevard to restore power to the portions of the beach who do not have power. Please avoid travel this evening if possible as standing water and debris are present on roadways.

Due to the severe weather forecast, Town Offices will close at noon today. Normal operations will resume Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Due to the anticipated storm event predicted for Tuesday, January 9, 2024, the Town Council Work Session will be rescheduled to Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Regular Monthly Meeting of Town Council will take place as scheduled on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. A weather update will be shared later today.

The north end of Palmetto Boulevard remains closed while SCDOT continues to remove sand and debris. Portions of Docksite Road, Yacht Club Road, and several other side streets remain covered with water and are impassible. Ocean Ridge has several areas that remain underwater and the property owner's association plans to have two large pumps delivered.....
