Garbage/Trash Schedule

The Town uses a contractor for residential curbside garbage collection.  Residents can call Republic at (843) 873-4810.  If problems are not resolved, contact Sara Simpson.

Winter Collection (Last full week in October through last full week in March)

Lyons Contracting has been contracted to roll containers out and roll containers in.  The monthly cost per container is $4.00.  Problems should be reported to the Municipal Clerk.  Residents can opt out of the service by completing an opt out form available at Town Hall.

 

Convenience Station Hours:

     Tuesday            8:30 a.m. - 1 :30 p.m.

     Thursday           1:30 p.m. -  6:00 p.m.

     Saturday            8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The convenience station does not accept waste from businesses.

Recycling

Recyclables can be brought to the convenience station during operating hours.  Glass, plastic, paper, cardboard and aluminum cans can be brought 24 hours a day to the recycling center at the Town of Edisto Beach conveniece station.  Please do not mix garbage with these recyclables as it contaminates the entire load and must be landfilled.

E-Waste

Beginning July 1, 2011, E-Waste is banned from the convenience station and in waste receptacles.  South Carolina Legislation changed and all ewaste is banned from South Carolina Landfills.
