Dear Coastal Stakeholders:

S.C. DHEC Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) is excited to announce the launch of our new and improved online public notification system.  Effective immediately, all new permit applications for activities within OCRM’s Critical Areas will be placed on public notice on the following website:   http://epermweb.dhec.sc.gov/publicnotice

This new website will provide notice of public comment periods for applications within tidal wetlands, coastal waters, beaches and beach/dune systems. This includes activities such as commercial and recreational docks, marinas, renourishment activities, and erosion control structures. Additionally, the site provides enhanced functionality for our customers by allowing public comments to be provided directly through the site or by attaching and uploading formal letters, photos and other files.

Please Note: Applications for Critical Area permits submitted prior to May 22, 2017 will continue to be listed on DHEC's Permit Central until their individual expiration dates. Additionally, activities related to OCRM’s Coastal Zone Consistency requests will continue to be placed on public notice on the current DHEC webpage until further notice: http://www.scdhec.gov/PublicNotices/

Thank you for your patience as we transition to our new notification system. If you encounter a problem, please contact info@dhec.sc.gov.
